Bats often enter attics through small holes or gaps and live in large groups. They can be a nuisance when they fly in and out and can leave behind large amounts of droppings called guano that can carry disease. Bats can also carry and transmit rabies to humans.
PROFESSIONAL BAT REMOVAL SERVICES
If you have bats living in your attic in New Haven County, Connecticut, you should have them excluded as soon as possible, before they cause health problems for you and your family. You should not try to catch bats because of the danger of contracting an illness.
Call Anderson Wildlife Control for help with your bat problem. We have experience excluding bats from attics and know the best techniques to get them to leave and not come back. We use humane methods and do not harm the bats we exclude from our customers’ homes.
INSPECTION AND EXCLUSION METHODS
The first thing we will do is inspect your home to find the entry points that the bats are using to get in and out of your attic. All of the points will need to be sealed off to keep the bats from getting back into your house. We will identify the species of bats living in your home by watching them fly out at dusk and by examining the guano.
Once we have identified the species of bats and figured out how they are getting in and out of your house, we can exclude them. We will seal off all but one of the entry points and will use an exclusion device on a hole or gap that will allow the bats to exit the house but will prevent them from getting back in.
Several types of exclusion devices are commonly used to get rid of bats. Poly netting has a small enough grade that the bats will not get stuck. It allows them to fly out but not to return. Window screen can also be used to exclude bats. Funnels can be made from a variety of materials to exclude them. Once all of the bats have been excluded, we will seal off the last entry point.
